Today is Saturday, 2nd January 2010. Oh no, why am I so late in posting a new year post? Should have done tat either 2 days back or yesterday!

Let’s see, what have I done in the past year, 2009. (obviously not all, but the significant ones)

20th February- Receive my driving license. Yeah! Finally do not need to burden my parents whenever I want to go our for a ride. So far, I have put my license to good use.

12th March- Collected my SPM result. I’m happy with my results. Grateful to the Lord and those who have helped me in my studies.

18th March- Spend my holiday at Sabah togather with family. Summited Mount Kinabalu (post) via summit trail, the highest mountain in South East Asia. By the way, I will be going there again this year, at the end of January, via mesilau trail and via ferrata.

27th-29th March- Attended Digital Camera, Imaging, Media (DCIM) Show at MidValley Megamall Exibition Hall. (post) For the 3 days, attended quite a number of seminar and talks related to photography like photojournalism. On top of that, can see pretty models without needing to spend money buying tickets for GP events.

1st April- Went for JPA Scholarship Interview. (post) My first scholarship interview, was pretty nervous at that time. Anyway, I did not get the scholarship. You click on the link and read the long post on my experience.

5th April- Went to Jeram (waterfall) Perlus. Walked 3 hour, the longest I ever done just to see a waterfall. Not quite magnificent but something worth walking for.

1st-3rd May- Summited Gunung Yong Belar, (post) 3rd highest moutain in Peninsular Malaysia. First experience of a hiking trip with full pack (almost 20kg) and camping. Overall, good experience, step-up-stool for other tougher overnight climbs.

18th May- First day of college @ TAR college. Currently taking Advanced Level. Subjets: General Paper, Mathematics, Further Math, Physcis and Economics. I met great friends there, from all over Malaysia simply by knowing my classmates. Not only that, we gather often to play badminton, basketball and swimming. Not forgetting the time we spend together group studying. By the way, we mix with other class also lah!

4th-5th June- Attended Wilderness First Aid training, a programmed certified programme organised by MOTHs and St John Malaysia. This is where I get my formal training on performing CPR and how to respond as a first aider in any situation. Later on, I took the exam and actually passed!

10th July- For the first time, arrive at Singapore. Witnessed how busy Singapore was. Went to Sim Lim Square and Sim Lim Tower. Both of them beat Malaysia’s Lowyat Plaza and Pudu street. Seriously, you can get any kind of electronics there. Pretty impressed with how regulated Singapore is, enjoyed my trip.

26th July- Summited Gunung Nuang via Janda Baik. I would say that janda baik way is much easier compared to hulu langat route.

29th -31st August- Went to Gunung Benum. This is one of the toughest moutain I ever climbed. On the first day itself, I already felt like giving up. Fortunately, I managed to persevere and summited. This is also the place where I learn to drink stagnant stream water that was “browner” than chinese tea. Oh, why did I celebrate merdeka on a moutain top?!?!

19th-22nd September- Went to Gunung Korbu and Gayong, (post)2nd and 4th highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. Another moutain that really taught me how to persevere till the end. Other than being the longest, it is also one of the toughest moutain that I climbed. Going uphill was not easy afterall.

1st October- Met in a car accident on the way to college. (post) I do not wan to bring back memories of it, so if you want to know more read the post.

6th October- For the very first time, celebrating my birthday with fellow friends. My classmates celebrated my birthday at OldTown White Coffee before class started.

10th October- Went for Canon Photomarathon. Great shooting experience. Canon had technical difficulty, which delayed the whole

6th November- Semester final exam over. Yeah! Some freedom at last. Oh, actually not really, because I have not been studying. Anyway, I was quite happy with my results. Put the least afford, but managed to be among the top. =) But… I better work harder for my AS.

14th November- Barbeque party/dinner at my house. Some said that it’s their best BBQ ever. I think all of us enjoyed ourselves, including my little brother who got the spotlight. (unfortunately =|) For pictures, you can get it from facebook.

25th-27th November- Went to Genting Highland with my fellow classmates. We are totally crazy people. Today I’m still figuring out how we managed to cramp 18 people into a double sized bedroom.

10th-12th December- APYAC conference. Physically and spritually challenge to rise up for the nation! Oh heck, sometimes I just do not like to hear it.

16th December- Christmas@Home program. New visitors attended, manage to share the love of the Lord with them.

18th December- Skytrek Adventure. (post) Surely making me bolder, bringing me to a new height, daring me to go higher and higher. Read the post for more info. Don’t just read and forget it, but challenge yourself for it, especially for those who needs to overcome the fear of height.

20th-27th December- Spend the 2nd last weekend of holiday in Penang. Nothing else but eat and eat and eat. Actually it’s not nothing else, but did a bit of hiking. Visited Muka Head light house twice, walked up penang hill, watch Avatar with aunt and walked along Gurney Drive, that’s what I there. Also, went to Kedah and do a bit of visiting, or rather ‘planning’ for next year. Went to Sg Sedim to check out the 8hrs water rafting activity they have, the canopy walk and so on.

31st December- Went to Mid-valley Megamall and meet up with my classmates. Not many of us as quite a number still in their respective states, will only be coming down to KL the day before college starts. Had 2  games of bowling at cosmic bowl, played a bit at the arcade park. Then, I got to cabut home for dinner and a rest before tomorrow’s climb. Did not spend my time counting down.

The year 2009 have been the most happening in my life. Hope that 2010 will be greater than before!
